******* RAF campaign: November 26 to December 7, 1944 *******
********************************************************************

This campaign follows a fictional RAF squadron during the course of
an eleven day struggle involving a strong counter attack by German forces.
The campaign is linear and non-branching so even if you 'win' or 'lose'
the next mission will proceed (I havent quite got the hang of the
branching thing yet). To really get the most out of the
'story' I would recommend strongly trying to fly the missions to com-
pletion (try to complete the mission objectives)...some things aren't
triggered to happen until near the end of the mission (though they
may not be directly related to the mission). All missions start on
the ground. Some missions have random elements in them, so if you
refly one it may unfold slightly different the next time.

Why the RAF? Well, I love the Spit first of all. Some have com-
plained that the Jane's Spit is a dog to fly. At first, I agreed.
But after spending some time flying it, I found it to be no better
or worse than any of the other aircraft in the game. If you keep the
speed up, the Spit is actually a darn good aircraft to dogfight in.

Another reason why I chose the Spit is because it is a more challenging
aircraft to fly in gound attack roles simply because it just doesn't
carry a lot of ammo. Therefore you must be a little extra careful in
ground-pounding while flying the Spit. Also, no rockets can be mounted
either so you must rely on strafing and bombs.

Finally, I just felt that the RAF wasn't given it's fair shake in the
game (only ONE RAF plane? What about the Typhoon or Tempest?) At any
rate, I felt that a full blown Spit campaign would be a nice change
from all the American and German ones.

INSTALLATION:
Simply unzip the file, placing everything in the Data/Campaign folder
in your "WW2" directory (or whatever you have named it). Load up the
game, go to "Campaigns" in the kiosk, select "Custom", then the name
of the campaign (Jays).

FINAL COMMENTS:
This is my first attempt at building missions and a campaign. I've tried
to tell a pretty believeable story. I'm sure some players will probably
find that some missions are better than others and that some are easier
than others. Feel free to modify them to your hearts content (just let me
know if you think you have done something better...because I want to play
it too!) These missions have been designed with the mid-range computer in
mind (mine is a P2-350, 64megs, Voodoo 3) so I think it will run pretty
well on almost all systems. At any rate, hope you enjoy flying for the
RAF as much as I enjoyed making it. Tallyho!

"LITTLE THINGS..."
-------------------
1) There are some toughie missions...but they can be "won" :)

2) I have named all the RAF pilots (and the 'big friends' as well)...those
of you who play the game a lot may notice some 'familiar' names in honor
of those who have directly (and indirectly) helped me along the way.
Special thanks to those who frequent 'WW2 Online' and it's message board
<http://members.xoom.com/ww2f/>...you guys were a great help.

3) I REALLY wanted to put a scenario with a V-1, but everytime I
finished a mission the game would lock up. This snafu has been talked
about on the message board at "WW2 Online" and doesn't happen to all
people. Unfortunately it did happen to me so I couldn't use 'em.

4) email: jjh3@ra.msstate.edu

5) For my next campaign (oh yes, there will be others) I'm planning to
go German...and I may even put in some cinematics as well (if I can
figure them out properly).

6) Play Janes WW2 Fighters.
